Posted rates for Double E's Notary Services.
Act fees are the Texas maximums under Government Code § 406.024. Online notarization is capped at $25 per act under § 406.111. Travel, location, and printing are separate. A quote uses these posted rates. It is a high-end estimate, not necessarily the bill. After your first completed appointment, later work is 15 percent off. The quote does not include it.
Notarial acts — Texas Government Code § 406.024
These are the most Texas allows for the notarial act itself. I charge that maximum. Travel, online notarization, and location fees are separate and listed below.

Remote Online Notary — Texas Government Code § 406.111
This fee is for the online session. It is charged in addition to the notarial-act fee. The ID check and the video session are included.

Mobile travel and scheduling
These charges are for travel and timing, not for the notarial act. Mileage is the round trip from 3517 78th Dr, Lubbock, TX 79423. I travel up to 60 miles from that address. Farther than that, a remote session is the way to avoid the trip. The first 10 miles cost $10. Each mile after that is $1. Weekday service is 8:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. Weekend service is 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. I do not take appointments outside those hours. A federal holiday is not an extra charge. Rush and weather are extra only when they apply.

Location and wait time
A hospital, nursing home, or jail adds a location fee on top of the act and the travel. Waiting is $10 for the first 15 minutes, then $10 for each 15 minutes after that. There is no free waiting time.

If you cancel or do not appear, and I do not perform a notarial act, there is no charge. A cancellation is not an official act, so Texas Government Code § 406.024 does not allow a cancellation fee. Travel, time of day, location, waiting, and printing are billed only when the act is performed. If I arrive and the act cannot be completed — missing ID, an unwilling signer, or incomplete documents — there is still no charge. Payment for a completed appointment is due when you receive the invoice. I release the notarized documents only after that payment is received. See the Cancellation Policy and the Terms of Service.
