The journal, the screens, a demo, and a license-key order. This is not a page for a signer.

For Fellow Notaries Public
  • Texas Notary Record Book

I notarize in person and online, and I got tired of my record living inside somebody else's platform. When I switch from ProNotary to Notaron to BlueNotary to Proof, the act still has to go in my book, under my control, not theirs.

Texas Notary Record Book is the journal I keep for both. It asks for the traditional fields and the remote-online fields. It numbers every entry in order and never reuses a number. It holds the record for ten years. It will not take an identification number or a fingerprint.

The working copy stays on my phone or my computer, locked with a passphrase. If I lose that passphrase, the recovery key is on the lock screen. I wrote that key down when I created the book. If I lose the key as well, I can still open the certified record and print the copy. The backup zip stays readable on purpose, so it still opens when the passphrase is lost. I do not lock the zip. I keep a second copy on a drive or in a folder only I can open, not in a shared inbox and not in a shared folder.

If I need a new recovery key, I generate it under Office, while the book is open. The old key then stops opening this book on this device. A backup I saved before that still opens with the old key. Changing the passphrase does not retire the recovery key.

The integrity log is a check I keep, not a seal. If I still have an earlier copy, I can see that two files do not tell the same story. I can also delete the file. The book does not pretend otherwise.

One key works on up to three devices. The book does not push a device off when those seats are full. I see which devices are using the key, and I choose which one to release. The journal on that device is not deleted. After the first connection, the book opens with no signal, which matters when I am standing in a parking lot.

It is one payment, not a monthly rental. A paper book is still legal, and it is cheaper, and it goes silent when I need a copy. A platform journal leaves when I leave the platform. This one stays with me.

The book is not the audio-visual recording, and it is not legal advice. It is the record I must be able to produce. It was developed and designed by Double E's Notary Services. If you want to see it, I will record one act with you and then open the certified record without the passphrase. That is the whole demonstration.

The book

These are screens from the Texas Notary Record Book. Walk through a journal, a certified copy, and the backup, then book a demo if you want to record one act yourself.

These screens are the current book. The names in them are demonstration entries, not official acts. A paper book is still allowed.
